Stockton, California: Law-enforcement agencies have sought the assistance of the public in a small town outside of Sacramento, California’s state capital, for a couple for strapping M-80 firecrackers to a Dachshund and later setting it on fire. Fortunately, the dog survived the heinous crime with minor burn injuries.

The dog’s injuries are not life-threatening, and the perpetrators believed to be in their early 20s have fled Stockton, a rural farming town in the outskirts of Sacramento.

The M-80 crackers were originally made in the late 20s by the military to simulate artillery fire, and it’s illegal to be in possession of these in both the US and Canada.
