The Search engine giant Google sealed the deal to acquire Motorola Mobility at a staggering $12.5 billion today.
The MM will be run by Google Dennis Woodside, the Vice President of the search engine giant, while the CEO of MM Sanjay Jha is expected to step down, allowing Google to take complete control of the operations.
The deal was approved by the US Department of Justice and the European commission in February this year. The deal, which was in the pipeline for a long time, was slowed down as the Chinese government was in the process of an investigation about the deal.
The deal will allow Google to gain a bigger foothold in the mobile market.
