Green Acres star Frank Cady dies of unknown cause

Frank Cady, bust known as his role as Sam Drucker on the television show Green Acres died on Friday in his home in Oregon at the age of 96. A cause of death has not yet been given.

After serving in World War II, Cady began acting. Like most actors, he started off with small roles. His first recurring character was Doc Williams in the 1950s on The Adventures of Ozzie and Harriet. He started his role as Sam Drucker in 1965. He became the first actor to have recurring roles on three sitcoms at the same time when the character Drucker also appeared regularly on Petticoat Junction and The Beverly Hillbillies.

His last role in acting was in 1990 when ho played his famous character again in the movie Return to Green Acres.
