As expected, Justin Beiber’s fourth album to debut at No. 1, Believe, is the year’s top-selling debut album.
Believe sold more than 374,000 copies, surpassing Madonna’s MDNA release, which sold 350,000 copies when released last March.
Last week’s release of the album was the best sales week of the 18-year-old Canadian singer. Along with topping No. 1 on the Billboard Top 200 in the U.S., it also launched at No. 1 in 29 other countries.
Since Bieber’s first record in 2009, he has sold more than 15 million albums, according to The Associated Press.
