Princess Kate Middleton’s thoughtful Father’s Day outing for charity

Kate Middleton, wife of Prince William, was busy this weekend tending to the duties becoming of the wife of a prince. She kicked off this Father’s Day weekend by attending several charitable events, joining a group of inner-city children on a camping trip in Kent, England.

The 30-year-old princess dressed down for the outing by choosing to wear rustic over royal garb. Zimbio.com reports that “Kate threw on her boots and stomped around the English woods with the kids, stopping to check out wildlife.” She stopped to have a chat with the children as she fielded questions about what it felt like living the life of a princess.

Middleton spends a great deal of time with her charities, this outing was in support of Expanding Horizons, sponsored by ARK Schools.

Much of England seems to be anticipating an announcement that Kate is pregnant. US Weekly reports that the couple will make their plans to raise a family public around the three-month mark in her pregnancy. In other words, they will not keep her pregnancy hidden.

Kate was well known as a fashion princess long before she married Prince William. But on Friday of last week, she attended the performance of “The Lion, The Witch and The Wardrobe” with 150 kids. The Duchess’ outfit choice was a teal Zara dress paired with a black blazer from Whistles, accessorized with low-key black satin pumps. Though she’s known to wear a High Street look, she deliberately dressed down as she wanted to relate to the common folk.
