2 Dead, 19 Injured: Worst Incident Of Gun Violence In Toronto

Updated Report on last night’s shootings in Toronto, Ontario. Police now say there are two dead, including a young teenage girl after gunfire broke out in suburban Scarborough. The shooting occurred at a neighborhood barbecue, with dozens of guest present. 19 victims have been rushed to hospitals with gunshot wounds, including an infant.

Tony Lagallo an EMS spokesperson has said that some victims are old some are young; some of the injured were treated on the scene.

Toronto police chief Bill Blair, who called the violence “shocking,” said a man and a young woman were confirmed dead and that the injured infant is recovering.

Some Toronto cops are calling the shooting the “worst incident of gun violence in Toronto.”

A handgun was found at the scene and a person of interest is in police custody.
