Denver Bronco Defensive End Elvis Dumervil Arrested

Elvis Dumervil arrested, yet another NFL player in trouble with the law. He was arrested on Saturday night and charged with aggravated assault with a firearm. Reports say his bond was set at $7,500.

This is a felony charge, carrying a mandatory sentence of at least three years in prison, in Miami-Dade County if found guilty.

Dumervil is a defensive end for the Denver Broncos and led the NFL in sacks with 17 in 2009. He then signed a six year extension worth $61 million before the start of the 2010 season.

Dumervil missed the entire 2010 season due to a torn pectoral muscle suffered in training camp. Last year after a slow start after missing the prior season he ended with 9.5 sacks, second behind rookie standout Von Miller (11.5) and 42 tackles.
