“Breaking Dawn: Part 2” Promotional Tour Snub May Triggers Fan Backlash [New Pics]

Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart have become perhaps the most talked about former couple in world history within the space of three weeks. The duo shocked the world when “Ms. Twilight” was photographed making out with her “Snow White And The Huntsman” director Rupert Sanders…and then publicly admitted she was having an affair, betraying longtime boyfriend Robert Pattinson.

Unfortunately for the couple, they are united in more ways than one; they’ve played Bella and Edward on the big screen for four years now, amassing an enormous following of die-hard Twilight fans who have already created a huge wave of backlash aimed at Kristen. Now that the time has come for her to do promotional work for her other films–namely “On The Road”–she’s scared of what will be waiting for her in the real world.

Stewart is right to be wary; as anyone who has seen the crazed fandom on display at any Twilight premiere knows, she and Pattinson have reached a level of superstardom which is hard to fathom. They helped bring two romantically-linked, seemingly doomed characters to life and thrilled fans with their on the screen and off the screen relationship. Now that they view her as the one to blame for ending it, it could get very ugly once she returns to the spotlight.

For now, she’s taken to hiding out with friends and hasn’t appeared much in public since the news broke. As for Pattinson, he’s already jumped into the promo game for his film “Cosmopolis”, which opened in a limited release this weekend to good to fair reviews.

While no one knows the whole story but the people involved, it’s hard for fans to see past the media glare in order to give Stewart a fair shot. It’s premature to speculate, but this could even have an adverse effect on her career if she doesn’t address the matter soon.

It’s already been announced that Stewart, Pattinson, and Taylor Lautner won’t be in attendance at the four “The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn Part 2″ conventions around the country this year.

Still appearing, however, will be Booboo Stewart (Seth Clearwater), Charlie Bewley (Demetri of The Volturi), Alex Meraz (Paul of The Wolf Pack), Christian Camargo (Eleazar) and Daniel Cudmore (Felix of The Volturi), according to the convention’s site.

Two weeks ago, the executives confirmed that the promotions for the film will push through. They also admit they are afraid that the scandal will have a tremendous effect on the film. One of the options that the movie company is considering is to separate the two from each other,

Hollywood Life reports that “Summit is thinking about doing separate press conferences and interviews for Rob and Kristen,” our source says.

“So they don’t have to be anywhere near each other if they don’t want to be. It’s an option and is being discussed.”

Thus, the two may appear in separate events and promote the epic finale of “Breaking Dawn Part 2.”

Every year since the release of the first Twilight movie, the stars, especially Kristen Stewart, Robert Pattinson and Taylor Lautner, go on a whirlwind world tour to promote the series.

This year is no different. “While it is studio policy not to comment on the personal lives of actors,” Summit’s president of worldwide marketing, Nancy Kirkpatrick, told Entertainment Weekly, “Summit is moving full-steam ahead and looking forward to this November’s opening of The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn: Part 2.”

While no specifics were mentioned concerning what the press tour this time around will contain, “We are confident that the film delivers amazing entertainment for our passionate fans and general audience alike,” Kirkpatrick quickly added.

It is believed “Twilight” fans aren’t going to be happy about the announcement that Pattinson and Stewart have decided not to attend the four official Twilight conventions organised to mark the release of the final film in the franchise.

The film’s scarily devoted fans were hoping for a chance to get up close to Rob and Kristen for one last time, but for obvious reasons Rob and K-Stew have decided not to attend the fan events.

One fan blog in particular suggests that it feels cheated that the formally romantic duo’s have decided to skip the conventions. It argues: “Stewart and Pattinson are as beloved and famous as they are because of oft-hysterical Twilight fans. They may be ridiculous and a tad manic at times, but Twi-Hards are what made both of these actors, plain and simple. Why punish them for what’s going on in their personal lives? People wait months for these conventions in hopes of nabbing a photo or even a glance at one of these crazy kids. And, side bar, people don’t usually get to get out of work functions just because they’re in the midst of a bad break-up. Just saying.”

Though the blogs author ends the tirade with a “Just saying,” as if to say, “I’m not taking this any further,” it does nevertheless indicate the kind of frustration and impact the breakup has had on “Twilight” fans.

But no matter the criticism or wishful thinking, Pattinson has sold his LA home that he shared with Kristen.  It’s the kind of action that represents a real end to his relationship with Kristen. Reports say that a friend revealed to Star magazine that the Pattinson wanted the property off his hands ASAP because “there’s too many memories there for him.”

“He loves that house, but he keeps thinking of that day when she snuck away for her make out session with [Rupert Sanders], leaving him in front of the television thinking she was having a business meeting,” the source said.

“When you are young and you break up, it’s powerful and it feels like the world is ending,” host Jon Stewart told Pattinson. “This is the first time I have seen the world actually react that way. It’s insanity. Here is my wish for you: That you get to handle your business in private, in your personal life, and I wish you all the best.”

The whole scandal has to be a nightmare for studio execs, especially since rumor’s were blogging that “Breaking Dawn: Part 2” might not be the end of the Saga.

So much for that rumor.

I personally think Rob should give Kristen a chance to say her side of the story I mean come on its just a kiss get real not like she was all up on him to me it looked the other way around so if for any reason you stop and think about it and the so called love u had for each other you would forgive her we are all human and have weakness I mean you guys kissed different people while doing other movies soooo Robert grow up some life is complicated ups and downs and Kristen don’t know what you are thinking but hey if u love the man go out and look for him to straighten things out but if you guys never actually loved each other then it’s understandable no one should judge your relationship with your career

Ms. Stewart has been punished enough by the public. What about the gentleman involved? Where is his public lashing? He betrayed not just his spouse, but his children as well. Ms. Stewart wasn’t even married, and though this isn’t an excuse, I think it’s time that young vulnerable women who are easily flattered by older men, be given far more forgiveness than the man who ignored his responsibility to his own family.
