LAS VEGAS NV: MALE SUCCUMBS TO GUNSHOT WOUNDS

On July 31st 2012, at approximately 8:00 p.m., the LVMPD call center received a 911 call from a person reporting gunshots fired in the 2800 block of Constantine Ave. Patrol officers responded to the scene where they discovered shell casings on the ground and a vehicle that appeared to have been struck by gunfire.

At approximately 8:20 p.m. a Hispanic male was brought to North Vista Hospital by way of private conveyance, suffering from gunshot wounds. The adult male succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced deceased a short time later.

LVMPD Homicide detectives are currently conducting an investigation into this latest incident. A preliminary investigation into this case indicates both incidents are related. At this time no arrests have been made, and the investigation remains ongoing.

The identity of the deceased individual, and the exact cause and manner of his death, will be released by the Clark County Coroner’s Office.
