Las Vegas, NV: POLICE RAID INDOOR MARIJUANA GROW OPERATION

Tips from Public Lead to Investigation and Arrest

On August 13, 2012 at approximately 6:00 p.m. LVMPD SWAT Officers served a narcotics search warrant at a single family residence located in the 8300 block of Fox Brook Court in Southeast Las Vegas. Officers discovered a large indoor marijuana grow operation housing approximately 50 mature plants, with an estimated street value of $150,000.00.

Arrested at the scene was Michael D. Herda, 23 years of age of Las Vegas. Herda was charged with: Possession of marijuana with the intent to sell, and Possession of marijuana.

This investigation was conducted by the SCORE team. SCORE stands for Southern Nevada Cannabis and Regional Enforcement, and is a HITDA funded task force. The investigation began following numerous citizen tips indicating suspicious activities were occurring at the residence.
