Robert Pattinson’s Integrity Applauded While Stewart In Hiding Until September

Robert Pattinson is being applauded for acting responsibly and for showing a great deal of integrity in the midst of his private difficulties. In his MTV interview with Josh Horowitz, he joked with the host saying “you want tears; you gotta give me the big bucks!” Rob was responding to Horowitz’s opening line “This is not going to be Dr. Phil or Oprah, so if u tuned in for that, keep moving.”

Accolades should also go to all the faceless fans that have unconditionally supported Pattinson and were unafraid to exhibit their loyalty during his return has been the unconditional loyalty and support his fans had exhibited especially during his “Times Talks sit-down to promote “Cosmopolis.” When New York Times writer David Carr attempted to provoke Pattinson into a discussion about his relationship with Kristen Stewart, by likening the recent drama to past issues between “[Prince] Charles and Diana,” Rob drew immediate support from the audience.

Carr’s comparison was met with a loud chorus of boos. “I wouldn’t go that far,” a seemingly embarrassed Pattinson said. He didn’t have to elaborate—seconds later an ardent admirer screamed out, “Next question!”

The 26-year-old actor never directly addressed Kristen Stewart or the “momentary indiscretion” she had with Rupert Sanders that caused so much controversy. He did, however, provide some insight into why America is so obsessed with celebrities.

“I think it’s because America really wants to have a royal family,” he said. “They want to pick their king and queen.”

Rob got some empathetic cheers from the audience when he expressed his distaste for paparazzi following him. But does he wish that the same attention was focused on the policy-makers of our nation? He shrugged, admitting he wouldn’t want to be “responsible” for unleashing that on anyone.

There is a powerful message that goes out to Stewart as a result of what happened at the “Times Talk sit-down.” Fans, real fans will support and not condemn the ‘Twilight” actress. Stewart can emerge out of the shadows of her self-imposed confinement, just as Pattinson has surfaced; and she can count on fan support to help mitigate her fear of embarrassment and humiliation. Kristen only needs to trust her fans. But of course, that’s the problem; isn’t it? It’s a matter of trust;

It was a matter of trust, on so many levels, when Pattinson decided to return to the social world of the living. It was a matter of responsible behavior and trust that empowered Pattinson enabling him to sidestep media attempts to pry into his and Stewart’s private matters.

Pattinson therefore took a chance, he stood on faith when he abandoned his safe hideaway in order to re-engage with society; and he successfully pulled it off without a hitch.

Every encounter had its test and yet he had no a detailed plan, (remember he had no publicist) the actor simply made responsible choices.

Good Morning America’s George Stephanopoulos wanted to immediately address the controversy that has been the number one celebrity story over the last three weeks. So he asked Robert Pattinson: “What do you want your fans to know about what’s going on in your personal life?” “I mean you know they seem pretty excited about whatever. I’d like my fans to know that Cinnamon toast crunch only has 30 calories a bowl in it,” he joked, referring to the box of cereal he had been handed as a gift for appearing on the show and partly homage to the ice cream he ate on ”The Daily Show” earlier this week. He went on to say “It’s a different thing. You go into it to do movies,” he said. “I’ve never been interested in trying to sell my personal life and that’s really the only reason people bring it up. The reason why you go on TV is to promote movies. That’s the only way to do it. If you get used to it I think you start going crazy,” Pattinson said. He was referencing the fame engendered by the “Twilight” franchise. Pattinson continued, saying, “It’s like being on the craziest theme park ride. It’s totally exciting but, eventually, at some point you have to have a break.”

What a stand-up guy, apparently, he wasn’t about to allow himself to be tricked into spilling personal information about his former relationship with Stewart. He was a little surprised by Stephanopoulos’s question, however, Pattinson got into a grove and confidently segued his way into a reasonable answer.

Then the conversation started to veer back into the world of David Cronenberg’s “Cosmopolis,” which opens in limited released this Friday. After a clip is played where co-star Paul Giamatti points out that he can score more girls than Pattinson, the British heartthrob joked, “He does. If you go to Brooklyn Heights Paul Giammati is.”

The honorable 26-year-old British hunk, was left heartbroken last month when his Twilight co-star and girlfriend Stewart publicly confessed to an “indiscretion” with married director Rupert Sanders. The revelation has ended the young couple’s three-year romance. But Pattinson, charmingly resilient, braved on in the kind of spirit that makes him admired and adored worldwide.

After spending some time away from public view, Pattinson reemerged this week, looking more poised and resolute. Following his appearance on “The Daily Show with Jon Stewart,” Pattinson was on the red carpet in New York City for the premiere of “Cosmopolis.” While there he posed for photos and then moved inside for the screening. Hundreds of fans came out to show their support, some even lined up overnight to get a glimpse of the star. “Cosmopolis” director, David Croneberg and Rob’s leading lady from the movie, Sarah Gadon, were also both there amid the fan frenzy.

The film made its worldwide debut at the Cannes Film Festival in May, but now Rob’s sharing his David Cronenberg-directed project with a North American audience.

All in all, fans everywhere should be quite proud of how Pattinson has carried himself through four public appearances. Not only is he behaving like the gentlemen we all believed him to be, he’s been respectful of both Stewart’s privacy and his own.

For those of you that are hoping for a Pattinson/Stewart reconciliation, don’t put any money on it. The situation is quite complex. While it is clear that Stewart will do anything to resolve their shattered romance, Pattinson is perhaps under extreme pressure from his family and friends to move on to the next chapter in his life. Now Magazine, a web publication in the UK reported that, “Rob’s parents Richard and Clare and his sisters Lizzy and Victoria are trying to convince R-Pattz, 26, it’s not a great idea. ‘They’re worried she may win him over and have told him he mustn’t meet her.”

The website further reported that “’Lizzy’s even offered to accompany him to the ‘Breaking Dawn: Part 2′ premiere in November, so that Kristen can’t talk him round.’”

That’s a lot of pressure when your family is touched by scandal that you had nothing to do with causing. So you see, it’s very difficult for Pattinson, as he perhaps fears not only what his family might think of him if he were to resume his relationship with Stewart, but how will it affect their relationships with their friends and acquaintances.

Pattinson may have ingeniously found a gentle way to convey the reality that what Stewart and he once had can no longer be again. His calm confident demeanor exhibited during his public appearances should convey with certainty that the “Twilight” star has moved on with his career and his personal life; but at the same time he has provided her with a road map out of her self imposed confinement.

With Pattinson’s resolute commitment to continue his career and not return to the past, his scheduled Sept. appearance at MTV’s Video Music Awards will take place as planned. One reason for this is because Stewart has reportedly canceled her scheduled appearance. Sources at the Toronto International Film Festival confirmed that Stewart has settled upon being there. So she can’t be in two places at the same time. In addition, Gossip Cop reports that MTV sources are saying that she was never confirmed to attend the VMAs.

These disclosures come after it was claimed that Stewart has been dropped from the sequel to Snow White and the Huntsman following her high profile split from Pattinson.

This report was incorrect, although the sequel to the film, which has made more than $389 million at the box office, will reportedly focus on the Huntsman character, played by The actor Chris Hemsworth, no one at the studio has dropped anyone.

Rupert Sanders, director of the original film, is also not guaranteed to return. Sanders, whose wife is the British model Liberty Ross, had a fling with Stewart, which led to the break-up of the high profile Twilight couple.

Ross, who also appeared in the Snow White film, had reportedly warned her husband if he wanted to save their marriage, he must never work with Stewart again.

“The studio is currently exploring options to continue the franchise”, a spokesman for Universal told the Reporter.

The latest news featuring Kristen Stewart comes from the Vancouver Sun. The website claims, Stewart will reportedly remain in hiding after her very public ‘momentary indiscretion’ with married director Rupert Sanders – that is until next month – when she’s set to appear at the Toronto International Film Festival.

Stewart will reportedly remain in hiding after her very public ‘momentary indiscretion’ with married director Rupert Sanders – that is until next month (September) – when she’s set to appear at the Toronto International Film Festival.

That’s a long time for the media battered actress to remain in hiding until September, but for now, that is where things stand for Stewart.
