Serena Williams has captured gold for the U.S., beating Maria Sharapova. The tennis star took a commanding lead after taking the first set and she never looked back
Serena at age 30 is still a dominate force in the game of tennis. Today’s blow out win was proof to not count out Ms. Serena Williams she still has a lot more game to play and can still dominate women’s tennis. Serena played with that dominance winning in straight sets 6-0, 6-1 and finished with 10 aces and 24 winners. This is the best Serena has ever played.
Next up for Serena Williams, she teams with sister Venus in the doubles final on Sunday against Czech Republic’s Andrea Hlavackova and Lucie Hradecka.
