A 6.2 magnitude earthquake strikes Mexico’s Baja California

According to the U.S. Geological Survey. A 6.2 magnitude earthquake erupted at today at 5:45pm. Officials told other members of the news media that the earthquake started 47 miles form north La Paz in Baja, California. Also it was 97 miles long from Constitution.

Even though an earthquake this magnitude can cause severe damage, until now there were no immediate reports of injuries or deaths. State civil defense director Carlos Rincon said “We are calling on the public to remain calm in case there are aftershocks.”
