DETECTIVES SEEK PUBLIC’S ASSISTANCE TO SOLVE LABOR DAY SEXUAL ASSAULT

On September 1
st, 2012 a 22 year-old female became the victim of a violent sexual assault near
the 3000 block of Joe W. Brown, while she was attempting to make her way back to her hotel room.
The victim was found by security after being observed running frantically down a roadway,
barefoot yelling for help. Moments later the suspect was captured on video fleeing in the
opposite direction.
The victim was transported to UMC Trauma where she was treated for her injuries and
released. As a result of the investigation, detectives located additional video surveillance of the suspect walking on Las Vegas Blvd in front of the Riviera Hotel and Casino prior to the sexual assault. The suspect is described as a Hispanic male standing approximately 5’7”, 190lbs with short hair and a goatee. He was last seen wearing a gray long sleeve button down dress shirt over a white t-shirt, black pants and black shoes.
