“Kings of Leon” bassist, Jared Followill could escape the walk down the aisle no longer as the stunning model, Martha Patterson, hooked the last of the brothers to get married. According to “People” magazine the couple made it official yesterday as the exchanged vows in a property in Charlotte, Tennessee.
Followill, who looked country-cool wearing Lucchese boots, and his bride worked with celebrity event planner Sharon Sacks to create a bash that matches their casual vibe.
According to a “People Magazine” source, “They had a great farm-to-table cuisine with all of their favorite things. It was down home and very real. It was very much true to their style.”
The marriage means all four members of the Followill family band are off the market. Older brothers Nathan and Caleb and cousin Matthew have already started families.
The 25-year-old Followill and 21-year-old Patterson were engaged last spring when the “Kings of Leon” rocker popped the question to the model last April after just a few months of dating – confirmed the news on his twitter just hours before the couple walked down the aisle on Saturday (29.09.12)
He wrote: ”Today, I get married. It’s the biggest step I’ve ever taken. I’ve dreamed about this day since I was a little girl.”
Martha also confirmed their nuptials were taking place. She tweeted: ”Marrying my best friend today. I’m the luckiest girl in the world.”
Earlier this week a source close to the couple revealed they were planning a low-key wedding.
The source said: ”They’re excited and a bit nervous. They’ve dreamed up a family affair with homespun and rustic details. Jared picked the perfect woman to settle down with.”
The bassist proposed in Nashville with a four-carat cushion-cut diamond, set on a diamond band, which he designed himself.
Jared’s brother and bandmate Nathan is currently expecting his first child with wife Jessie Baylin, while their other sibling Caleb – the group’s singer – and his wife Lily Aldridge welcomed daughter Dixie Pearl into the world in June.
Neither Jared nor Martha has discussed the couple’s plans for kids, but Nathan, Caleb and Matthew all churned out children not long after tying the knot. It will certainly be expected these two will do the same, but they could well have other ideas. Besides, with neither even in their late twenties, it’s not like time isn’t overtly on their side.
