On September 27, 2012 at approximately 6:03 p.m., a Hit and Run auto / pedestrian collision occurred on North
Pecos Road at Cecile Avenue. Witness statements and evidence at the scene indicate a blue pickup truck was
turning right onto northbound Pecos road from a posted stop sign at westbound Cecile Avenue. The pedestrian
was walking southbound on the east sidewalk of Pecos road. The pedestrian crossed Cecile Avenue in the
unmarked crosswalk and was struck by the blue pickup truck. The pedestrian was forced to the ground and was
transported to UMC Trauma by ambulance for critical injuries. The blue pickup truck drove away from the scene
without stopping. The collision remains under investigation by the LVMPD Accident Investigation Section.
