Following the end of the article please enjoy new “Breaking Dawn Part 2” trailer.
The Twilight cast reunited in Los Angeles on Thursday — with one very noticeable absence.
While Kristen Stewart was promoting her new film On the Road at the Toronto Film Festival Thursday, estranged boyfriend Robert Pattinson handled promotions for their Twilight film at the 2012 MTV Video Music Awards in Los Angeles.
With the help of his costars Taylor Lautner, Peter Facinelli, Elizabeth Reaser and Jackson Rathbone, Pattinson took the stage — sporting his signature messy locks, jeans and a dress shirt — to present the final Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn — Part 2 trailer. But to fans, it was obvious that Stewart wasn’t there.
For those at the Venice Film Festival, Stewart wasn’t there either.
It’s anybody’s best guest if Stewart and Pattinson will ever get back together, odds are that they won’t. Nevertheless, Stewart recently appeared at the premiere of her new movie “On the Road.” She was met with roaring cheers from fans who still had her back. And she told MTV on the red carpet at the premiere that she’s happy her “Twilight” fans were there to cheer her on.
The news of the cheating scandal looks like its dying down, which gives Pattinson and Stewart some breathing room to really think things over.
Reports also say that Pattinson will walk the red carpet with Stewart at the premiere, saying that “he is being professional” and “taking the higher moral ground.”
Pattinson said he is worried about his ex-girlfriend despite how much she’s hurt him.
One thing fans might be able to salivate about is not only the new trailer just released last Thursday, but also the buzz, which suggest that the series may not end this fall.
The final edition of The Twilight Saga, will be released into U.S. movie theaters on November 16, 2012, and judging from the newly-released trailer, it is certain to break box office records. Billed as the final edition of a five series saga, sources suggest that that’s not an accurate statement. On January 13, 2012, The Vancouver Sun announced that Lions Gate Entertainment Co. purchased Summit Entertainment LLC for $412.5 million in cash and stock, uniting two of Hollywood’s largest independent studios. On January 16, 2012, National Post reported that Lions Gage’s chief executive Jon Feltheimer, will likely continue past the last book of the series. The decision seems quite logical, especially since interest in the series does not appear to have waned and in fact statistics indicate that the saga enjoys a growing audience that spans across a large demographic network.
It is possible that the producers will build upon the so-called final installment and build the series on Edward and Bella’s daughter Renesmee. The logic here seems quite palpable, especially since “Breaking Dawn Part 2″ is primarily about saving Renesmee from the wrath of Volturi, the ancient vampire council.
The finale appears to come down to a showdown between Edward’s family, with all the international vampires he can recruit and allied with Jacob’s pack of wolves, again the ruling vampire council.
No longer is the story about the love between Edward and Bella as it attempts to reflect good against evil. It’s an interesting theme, especially when vampires and werewolves are on the side of good.
With the special effects and action promising to be breathtaking, it will be difficult to wait until the movie opens up in theaters this fall, but what else can you do?
So with the new revelations suggesting that the vampire couple would not be needed if the series continues, the only vote left will be that of the fans.
You can let me know what you think.
Oh and here is one more surprise. Following on from a teaser trailer that was shown during Thursday’s (September 6) MTV Video Music Awards, a full-extended trailer for The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn – Part 2 has been released.
The 2 minute 15 seconds promo is the last to be released before the film hits cinema screens worldwide on November 16 and sees Bella (Kristin Stewart) adapting to her new life as a vampire. You can watch it below.
The trailer also features her husband Edwin Cullen (Robert Pattinson) and their daughter, who is under threat from the villainous undead council known as Volturi. The pair call on the vampire community to help them protect their child from certain death.
New scenes, not seen in the VMA teaser trailer, include Carlisle (Peter Facinelli) explaining the punishment that must be dealt to the Cullen’s daughter for being born immortal, and an extended look at the vampire’s special powers.
The final Twilight movie, Breaking Dawn – Part 2, will be released in the UK and the US on November 16 (2012). Last month (August 9), director Bill Condon asked fans to show respect to the film’s stars, Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart, as they face a crisis in their real life relationship
