Topless Nude Photos Have Kate Middleton and William “Furious,” “Saddened” and “Disappointed”

Prince William has been putting on the air of normality ever since topless nude photos of his wife, Kate Middleton were published in a French newspaper. The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge are refusing to let the furor over the topless pictures of Duchess Catherine ruin their tour of the Far East.

The royal couple is currently on an official visit to Asia as part of Queen Elizabeth’s Diamond Jubilee celebrations and while they are very upset the intimate pictures were published in a French magazine, they won’t let it stop them from enjoying the trip.

Kate Middleton and Prince William looked cheerful as ever when they arrived at the Honiara International Airport in the Solomon Islands. The spouses of nearly 17 months received a traditional welcome from Island Warriors as they deplaned.

The royal couple, both 30, then traveled via a special boat vehicle to the St. Barnabas Cathedral, where they were greeted by more than 60,000 admirers. When they reached their destination, they attended a Jubilee service of thanksgiving conducted by the Archbishop of Melanesia, David Vunagi.

Middleton looked prim and proper in a blue patterned dress by Jonathan Saunders and a gray bespoke hat by Jane Taylor. During the service, she cooled herself with a fan left on her pew by her hosts, while her husband fanned himself with a copy of the order of service, according to Us Weekly.

Though photos of Middleton sunbathing topless were recently published in the French tabloid magazine “Closer,” she and her husband have not let it interfere with their pre-scheduled tour of Asia Pacific on behalf of Queen Elizabeth II’s Diamond Jubilee Tour, celebrating her 60 years on the British throne. The couple are said to be “furious,” “saddened” and “disappointed” by the unauthorized photos being released, according to Us.

A palace rep said September 14, “St James’ Palace confirms that legal proceedings for breach of privacy have been commenced today in France by The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge against the publishers of “Closer” Magazine France.”

William’s spokesperson told the Sunday Mirror newspaper, “They’ve been very clear that they will not allow this to intrude on their enjoyment of the tour or, more importantly their work on behalf of the queen.”

“The couple always felt very strongly about privacy and harassment. It’s part of a very long-standing and heartfelt position by the duke and Prince Harry, given their past, to do everything they can to protect themselves.”

“They’ve always said they don’t have an issue with the mainstream media just doing their job, but they have always had an issue with paparazzi whose work intrudes on their privacy.”

However, it will not stop the pair from taking legal action against everyone involved with the pictures, which were taken with a long-lens camera as William and Catherine sunbathed at a private chateau in France.

The spokesperson added “They will take any action they can within the law to seek redress.”

After French magazine “Closer” publishing the snaps, the Irish version of theDaily Star newspaper printed them while Italian publication Chi is planning to.

Sadly for the spouses, on Saturday, Italian magazine Chi — which is owned by the same parent company as Closer — told CNN it plans to publish an additional 26 pages of their private vacation on September 17.
