Tennessee–Associated Press has reported that the Alabama police have discovered the body of the man sought in four Tennessee slayings; his death appears to be homicide opening up questions about who else may have been involved in original investigation.
According to AP, the man was wanted for questioning in the homicides.
On Tuesday, police identified the man as Warren Vincent Crutcher. Alabama law enforcement had been searching for Crutcher in connection with the murder of a Tennessee child and three women.
Initially, AP reported that the Madison County Coroner Craig Whisenant’s death did not appear to be a suicide, now police seem sure of foil play.
Whisenant said a fatal shooting in Huntsville, Alabama, also may be related to the case.
More information forthcoming.
