DETECTIVES ARREST TWO MEN IN CONNECTION WITH SEPTEMBER HOMICIDE

On September 29, 2012 at approximately 9:15 a.m., L.V.M.P.D. received a 911 call from a male, later identified as George Tiaffay, reporting he had discovered his wife deceased in her apartment located in the 2600 block of Pavilion Center Drive. Patrol officers and medical personnel responded and confirmed the female was dead. Evidence at the scene indicated that the death was not natural and homicide detectives were summoned to the scene. The victim has since been identified by the Clark County Coroner’s Office as Shauna Tiaffay. On October 10, 2012, Homicide detectives arrested George Tiaffay and Noel Stevens for the Murder of Shauna Tiaffay. Both Tiaffay and Stevens have been booked into the Clark County Detention Center and are charged with: Murder with a Deadly Weapon, Conspiracy to Commit Murder with a Deadly Weapon, Robbery with a Deadly Weapon, Conspiracy to Commit Robbery with a Deadly Weapon, Burglary with a Deadly Weapon, and Conspiracy to Commit Burglary with a Deadly Weapon. Anyone with information regarding this homicide is urged to call the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department Homicide Section at (702) 828-3521, or to remain anonymous, call Crime Stoppers at (702) 385-5555 or visit www.crimestoppersofnv.com.
