Did George Clooney use fear to manipulate Stacy Keibler to placate his own insecurities? If he did, shame on you George Clooney. I believe that if you take a close look at some of the recent reports highlighting the Clooney–Keibler relationship one could conclude that the seasoned actor may have delved into a game of manipulation with Stacy Keibler to satisfy his own insecurities. Now this is sheer speculation on my part, but some men who have a hard time with commitment, as most of us believe Clooney has, are also deeply insecure and tend to subject their romantic partners to a host of psychological games in order to reinforce control and their own self confidence. Based on at least one account describing behavior inside their relationship I have concluded that Keibler may have fallen victim to this kind of treatment.
The first reports hinted that it was uncertain how much longer the relationship would last. We’ll given Clooney’s track record the assertion appeared to have very little importance if any.
But then there was an eyewitness account, which claimed they saw Keibler at a recent cooking event where she was acting really nervous and refused to talk about George.
Now if true, that’s a clear expression of fear. If you break the idea of fear down, it can be simplified into two elements; loss, and diminishment. Arguably, that’s the sum of our fears. Humans fear loss, for instance: loss of job, loss of home, loss of relationship, loss of relative, loss of social interaction and loss of life.
We also fear diminishment. This can be understood as a loss of our personhood and self-understanding. For example, if I see myself as a good teacher or professor, and then someone tells me that I’m a lousy teacher or terrible professor; that’s a form of diminishment. The claim could be true, however, not only do we fear this sort of diminishment, if it’s true, we certainly don’t want anyone to know that we don’t live up to the standards and expectations required. We just don’t want to be less; that’s diminishment.
I suspect, Kiebler may have been experiencing both loss and diminishment.
The New York Daily News reported that “After another function last week, a well-placed spy blabbed, Keibler was tearful about the situation. Stricken with grief, Keibler was seen breaking down on and off throughout the day and needed to be consoled by her handler. The source also says she kept checking her phone for texts or calls from Clooney. Here again classic fear. Keibler was clearly exhibiting a fear of loss as uncertainty seemed to permeate and consume here consciences reality. If this scenario happened, Clooney had to know the consequences of his actions or non-action was having on Keibler.
The same source alleged, “They’re barely talking,” another person revealed. “She is worried that he may break up with her any day now.” Again, my speculation here is getting ample support. The idea here is that he, Clooney may break up with her. This happens in a lot of relationships, but seeing it laid out here and knowing something about the actor, the whole thing looks deliberate. But again, I want to clarify that this is purely speculation on my part. Nevertheless, the appearance of manipulation seems have a ring of truth emanating from these events.
According to the “Daily News” Keibler is expressing a nervousness that opportunities will dry up if she and the superstar split.
Meanwhile, those around Clooney intimate that Clooney has been cool and collected on set and palling around with his A-list cast mates. Moreover, during this time period, he didn’t have much to say about Stacy and has been focused on the film, according to a movie-set source in Oklahoma.
So let’s add it up because math usually paints an accurate picture. And this math doesn’t get any simpler. Keibler is depressed preoccupied in a reality full of fear, while Clooney is outwardly cool, perhaps even cheerful amongst acquaintances.
Again, if you really look at this scenario, it would mount up to a stake of beans had the two simply gone their separate ways; but they didn’t,, if just some this is true, the fact that they get back together and Keibler ends up moving in with Clooney; I got to tell you, this thing looks like pure manipulation by George Clooney. And the only reason I’m even representing this argument as speculation is because, we don’t know if what I have outlined here is fact. But if it is accurate, well, let just say, in relationships where this kind of manipulation occurs, the manipulator usually feels so guilty that they end up displaying a kind of limitless generosity. I would point to the fact of Keibler recent move into Clooney’s home as evidence of this guilt.
According to the friends close to the couple the relationship is in fact stronger than it’s ever been.
While Keibler and Clooney may not be ready to the tie knot, the couple did recently move in together.
In recent days, Keibler appeared to be the center of attention at the premiere of her boyfriend’s new movie.
For the 32-year-old former WWE wrestler flashed plenty of flesh as she arrived at a screening of Argo at the AMPAS Samuel Goldwyn Theater in Beverly Hills on Thursday night.
Her partner George Clooney, who also acts as producer on the film, certainly approved. In fact he couldn’t keep his hands of her.
The “Ocean’s Eleven” star was spotted placing his arm around her as he whispered sweet nothings into the stunning blonde’s ear.
Stacy stole the show at the event by slipping her extremely toned and tanned figure into the slinky cut-out dress which exposed acres of flesh.
The very revealing attire displayed her trim torso and muscular back and clung to her figure in all the right places.
The statuesque beauty let her dress do all of the talking by simply accessorizing with some strappy black heels and a clutch featuring a row of studs.
She kept her hair and make-up simple too, highlighting her tanned face by sweeping her flaxen tresses up into a no-fuss ponytail.
Meanwhile George looked as dapper and handsome as ever, wearing a black slim line suit paired with a matching open neck shirt.
The Hollywood star hardly left his ladylove’s side, except giving her a moment to show off her fabulous attire.
The couple’s smitten turn on the red-carpet comes as George recently denied that the pair had split.
The actor’s representative quashed rumors quickly and decisively.
George reportedly believes Keibler is the perfect woman for him because she isn’t clingy like his past girlfriends.
The insider added: “Stacy is his dream woman. She doesn’t call to check in. He calls her more than she calls him.”
Meanwhile, Stacy had some stiff competition in the fashion stakes from Jennifer Garner at Thursday’s event.
Sporting a strappy bright scarlet Monique Lhuillier dress with a Bulgari bag and jewellery, Garner wore subtle makeup and her glossy brown hair over one shoulder for the event.
She stepped out on the red carpet to show her support for husband Affleck, who directs and stars in Argo as CIA agent Tony Mendez.
The 40-year-old actor looked a far cry from his shaggy-haired on-screen alter ego with a sharp hair cur and dapper black suit and tie.
Argo is based on the true story of a CIA ‘exfiltration’ specialist who concocts a risky plan to free six U.S, diplomats from Tehran who have found shelter at the home of the Canadian ambassador during the 1979 Iranian revolution.
The film co-stars Bryan Cranston, John Goodman, Alan Arkin and Victor Garber, with Clooney as one of the film’s producers.
Now, while I’d like to hope Clooney and Keibler have a wonderful life together, I must remain quite skeptical. Because, when you become a certain age you’ve had the privilege of experiencing life’s ups and downs and you get since to discern the difference between a story that is made up from a story that resonates and rings true.
I’m going to remain suspicious and simply take a wait and see position. Hopefully, the couple finds great happiness in their union. But I wouldn’t bet on it.
