At approximately 3:30 this morning the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department received a call of a domestic disturbance occurring at a residence in the 7800 block of Via Ventura Court. The 53-year-old Public Enemy rapper and Flavor of Love reality TV star was taken into custody early Wednesday morning in Las Vegas. Liz, who is the mother of Flavor’s 5-year-old child Karma, allegedly had her earring ripped out during the physical altercation. Her son fled to his sister’s bedroom when the rapper chased him.
The caller advised she had been involved in a physical altercation with her fiancé who was identified as William Drayton. His betrothed then phoned 911 to contact emergency authorities. It was also reported that after the physical altercation, Drayton had threatened his fiancé’s teenage son with a knife. It is unclear which individual suffered the threat from the star and who was assailed. After an investigation, Drayton was arrested and charged with Battery Domestic Violence and Assault with a Deadly Weapon. Prior to his arrest due to the domestic argument, Flavor spent a month in prison for assaulting his then-girlfriend in 1991, and three months behind bars for shooting at a neighbor in New York three years later. His criminal history also included arrests and convictions on traffic violations.
If convicted, Flavor could face up to six years in jail for the former charge and six months for the latter. The “911 Is a Joke” rhymer remained in custody at the Clark County jail pending a court date on Thursday. He was being held on $23,000 bail.
