FORMER NFL STAR ARRESTED FOR DOMESTIC VIOLENCE

Running Back Larry Johnson Jr. Jailed After Early Morning Violence On Friday October 5th, 2012 the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department call center received a call from security representatives at the Bellagio Hotel Casino located in the 3600 block of So. Las Vegas Blvd. The call indicated that security staff had detained a subject for possible domestic violence. LVMPD officers arrived and determined that the in-custody male, indentified as 32 year old Larry A. Johnson Jr., had met with a former girlfriend on the property. The encounter turned into a dispute which turned into an altercation between Johnson and the victim. While Johnson suffered small scratches on his face, the 32 year old woman exhibited multiple facial injuries and bruising on her neck. Based on the victim’s injuries and other evidence, Johnson was arrested for Battery Domestic Violence-Strangulation, transported to The Clark County Detention Center and booked accordingly. Johnson is eligible to post bail after a state-mandated
detention of at least 12 hours. Johnson played for numerous teams in the National Football League. A mugshot of Larry A. Johnson Jr. accompanies this release.
