FAMILY DISTURBANCE ENDS IN MURDERSUICIDE

On Wednesday November 21, 2012 at approximately 12:09 p.m. the LVMPD dispatch received calls of shots fired at a residence in the 2000 block of Sunland Avenue. The caller stated that her estranged husband had arrived with a firearm and kicked in the
door of the residence. The mother of three managed to get her small children safely out of the house while she heard shots being fired from within. A male acquaintance was unable to escape the residence as shots were being fired. LVMPD Officers arrived and set up containment around the residence. SWAT officers subsequently arrived and immediately made entry into the home and discovered two deceased males. Preliminary findings suggest this incident was a murder-suicide. The investigation remains ongoing. The identity of the persons and the cause and manner of death will be released by the Clark County Coroner’s Office.
