Las Vegas NV: Man Shot After Dispute

On November 17, 2012 at approximately 10:30 p.m. the LVMPD Dispatch Center received a call reporting a subject had been shot at an apartment complex in the 6200 block of West Tropicana Avenue following a dispute with another person.

Arriving LVMPD patrol officers located an adult male outside of a building within the complex suffering from an apparent gunshot wound. The man was transported by medical personnel to UMC Trauma where he was pronounced deceased a short time later.

Homicide detectives responded to the scene. During the preliminary investigation, an individual was identified as a person of interest in this incident.

This person remained at the scene and spoke with investigators. It was determined the deceased individual and the person of interest had been involved in a verbal altercation just prior to the shooting. The facts of the case will be submitted to the Clark County District Attorney’s Office for consideration of charges at the completion of the investigation.
