Las Vegas NV: Shooting Leaves One Dead – Another Wounded

Victims Ambushed as They Exit The Vehicle

On November 10, 2012 at approximately 4:43 p.m. the LVMPD Dispatch Center was notified of a possible shooting within an apartment complex located in the 1900 block of Simmons Street in Northwest Las Vegas.

Arriving patrol officers located a male and female victim, both suffering from apparent gunshot wounds. The male victim was deceased at the scene, and the female victim was transported by medical personnel to the UMC Trauma Center where she was treated for non-life threatening injuries.

Homicide investigators have determined the two victims were exiting their vehicle when an unknown suspect fired multiple rounds at them. There is no indication of any type of confrontation prior to the shooting, and investigators believe the shooting may be gang motivated.

The identity of the victim, and the exact cause and manner of death, will be released by the Clark County Coroner’s Office.
