FAMILY DISTURBANCE RESULTS IN DEATH

TRAFFIC ACCIDENT NOW BEING INVESTIGATED AS A HOMICIDE

On November 19, 2012 at approximately 9:59 p.m., LVMPD traffic officers responded to the 4300 block of Mammoth Creek Drive to investigate reports a male had been run over by a vehicle.

Officers arrived at the scene where they located a deceased male underneath the rear of a vehicle.

A preliminary investigation indicated the victim and female suspect were in a dating relationship and residing together at the time of the incident.

LVMPD Homicide Detectives responded to the scene and determined the couple had been involved an altercation, when the female entered her vehicle which was parked in the garage and attempted to leave.

Witnesses reported the victim was standing behind the vehicle when the female backed her car out of the garage, running over the victim in the driveway.

As a result of the investigation Sounilak Ouchlaeun, 33 years of age of Las Vegas was taken into custody.

She is currently housed at the Clark County Detention Center where she faces charges of Murder with Deadly Weapon.

The identity of the deceased and the exact cause and manner of death will be released by the Clark County Coroner’s Office.
