Nadya Suleman, affectionately known as the Octomom, has been released from her self imposed rehabilitation for Xanax dependency, just in time to celebrate Thanksgiving with her 14 children.
Thanksgiving means a lot to most families, but for Nadya Sulemans children, it means everything.
For those of you that don’t remember, Suleman had checked into the Chapman House Drug Rehabilitation Center in Orange County, California due to an admitted addiction to Xanax. Early reports that her father, Ed Doud, had expressed his concern for his 14 grandchildren may have influenced Suleman’s decision to check herself in.
The controversy arose when Radar Online obtained the voicemail of Suleman’s father’s message to Gina M. Bryson which specifically said: “”Gina, this is me, Ed. I’m worried about Nadya,” Doud is heard saying. “She’s not answering the phone. And I really worry about her. Sometimes she starts drinking vodka, whatever, so maybe she should not be driving.”
Reports are that her 14 children reportedly will remain with nannies for at least the next month while she receives her treatment.
According to her rep. she checked into the Chapman House Treatment Center in Orange County, California last week because of “anxiety, exhaustion, and stress” linked to her addiction to Xanax.
Nadya has been busy over the last year after getting foreclosed on then starring in a porno which helped her earn some money to rebound.
She just finished moving into a new 5,000 sq. ft. home with brand new furniture paid for by her adult entertainment earnings.
Her rep. has announced that “Ms. Suleman has been taking Xanax that was prescribed by her doctor to deal with her anxiety but she felt she needed a treatment program to help with her recovery,” later saying “She will be in treatment for 28 days or more if needed.”
It should also be noted that Natalie lost her driver’s license in February for driving the wrong way on a one-way street and then failing to appear to her court hearing.
After Bryson emerged as one of the nannies who expressed concerns to authorities about the kids’ living conditions in their then-La Habra home and the alleged sexual abuse of a younger sibling by an older brother, porn performer Suleman and her ex-adult film star manager Gina Rodriguez turned to the gossip press to accuse the accusers of essentially not being nannies at all but gold diggers. None of those seeking safe care for the children have made money off their allegations, which have produced official investigations but no charges to date.
Harvey Levin’s TMZ, broke the news that Suleman cheched into the Chapman House Drug Rehabilitation Center in Orange over the weekend to help her fight anxiety.
The rehab facility declined to confirm they are caring for Suleman because of patient confidentiality laws.
Rodriguez said the rehab center offered to treat Suleman at no charge, but she opted to pay for the program.
All 14 of Suleman’s children were conceived through in vitro fertility treatments. Her octuplets are the world’s longest-surviving set.
