On November 24, 2012 at approximately 2:12 PM, a serious injury Fire Engine / Auto traffic collision occurred on S. Lamb Blvd at the intersection with E. Karen Ave. Evidence at the scene and witness statements indicate a 2001 Ford F150 turned left from the stop sign on westbound Karen Ave to southbound Lamb Blvd. Clark County Fire Department Fire Engine #27 was traveling north on Lamb Blvd and impacted the left side of the Ford F150 with the front. The operator of the Ford F150 was transported to Sunrise Hospital with serious injuries. The operator and three occupants of the Fire Engine remained at the scene and did not report injuries. The Fire Engine was not traveling with flashing lights and siren activated and there was no traffic control device requiring it to stop at the intersection. The collision remains under investigation by the LVMPD Accident Investigation Section.
