2 people discovered dead inside residence

On Sunday, December 30, 2012 at approximately 4:40 a.m. the LVMPD Dispatch Center received a call from medical personnel advising they had responded to an injured person call at a residential care facility in the 3700 block of West Washington Avenue. Upon their arrival at the home, they discovered two people inside deceased from apparent blunt force trauma.

As a result of the preliminary investigation initiated by LVMPD Homicide Detectives, 68 year old David Settle was arrested in connection with these crimes. It was determined Settle and one of the victims lived in the residence and the second victim was a care provider. Other occupants of the facility were uninjured.

Settle has been charged with two counts of Open Murder and a booking photo accompanies this release. The identities of the deceased individuals as well as the cause and manner of death will be released by the Clark County Coroner’s Office. This incident remains under investigation.
