Bethenny Frankel and Jason Hoppy split

Bethenny Frankel and Jason Hoppy splitBethenny Frankel has admitted she has been left devastated by her split from husband Jason Hoppy. Bethenny Frankel has never been afraid to admit that she and Jason Hoppy have issues.Frankel confirmed over the weekend that she and Hoppy zhad reached an “extremely difficult decision” to split after nearly three years of marriage.

“No one cheated,” a friend of Bethenny Frankel is quoted as telling Us Weekly. “They’re both devastated… They grew apart. She is very upset.”

The 42-year-old TV personality, chef, author and entrepreneur told The Associated Press Sunday that the split brings her “great sadness.”

“This was an extremely difficult decision that as a woman and a mother, I have to accept as the best choice for our family,” Frankel said. “We have love and respect for one another and will continue to amicably co-parent our daughter who is and will always remain our first priority. This is an immensely painful and heartbreaking time for us.”

She continued: “Thank you all so much. You give me so much love, and I am so grateful. It feels like your words could get someone through anything.”

“Our core issues are wanting the other person to be somebody they are not,” she continued. “Jason is more balanced. He doesn’t want to work 24 hours a day. He wants to play golf and go out with his friends.”
While their opposites-attract nature initially was a positive aspect of the relationship, it proved to be a hindrance in the long run. Bethenny Frankel explained, “The irony is, we chose each other for who the person is — and then sometimes you want it both ways.”
Frankel and Hoppy are parents to 2-year-old daughter Bryn. They tied the knot in March 2010. Bryn, was born that same year. The couple’s courtship and marriage were documented in two reality series, “Bethenny Getting Married?” and “Bethenny Ever After…”
Bethenny landed a spot on the Real Housewives of New York, mostly because she wasn’t a housewife. At the time, she wasn’t even a wife. She was living in New York with her little pooch Cookie. But, we grew to love Bethenny anyway for her no-holds-barred sarcasm and attitude and because her wealth didn’t come from lineage or marriage — she was just a workin’ girl busting her hump to make millions.
We were so excited when she met the laid-back Jason Hoppy, who not only appeared to accept Bethenny’s neurosis and biting wit, but also enjoyed it. They went on to have adorable little Bryn and the only bone of contention between these two appeared to be Bethenny’s busy schedule. Perhaps, with Bethenny’s new talk show added to the list of her many other commitments, it proved to be too much. Whatever the reason, we were really rooting for these two and are saddened right along with them!

Since then, she has written four books, released a fitness video and founded her Skinnygirl line of cocktails, shapewear and nutritional supplements. She launched a talk show, “Bethenny,” over the summer that is set to air nationally on Fox stations in 2013.

Can’t stand her. Never did, never will. She’s exhausting – not because she “works a lot” rather because she makes so many unreasonable demands on others. Anytime the onus is on herself, she always finds a way to put it back on others while taking an “oh poor me” attitude. Jason is a saint for having even tolerated her narcissistic attitude as long as he has. I really feel most sad and worried for their daughter, who will have to overcome for years to come the neuroses of her mother. If Frankel really wants what’s best for their daughter she’ll give Jason primary custody while she tramps around the world getting another thousand “tweeters” to love her. Afterall, that’s what gets her up every morning and keeps her going each day — she must feel “loved” 100% of the day or she blows! Real SICK-O!
