CAPTURED: Tulare CA Man Wanted for Murder & Kidnapping is Apprehended

The Tulare County Sheriff’s Office has updated an earlier AMBER ALERT, issued this morning.

The AMBER ALERT was issued in conjunction with an ongoing investigation with regards to a murder and kidnapping in Tulare County, CA.

Authorities in Tulare County CA were looking for a man suspected of murder and kidnapping. Hector Celaya is alleged to have shot 4 people, killing 3 and wounding 1 while on a rampage on the Tule Indian Reservation, and then kidnapping 2 children.

Detectives handling the case were able to locate the suspect in the case, Hector Celaya, through triangulation of his cell phone.

A deputy then located Ceyala’s green Jeep Grand Cherokee in the area of Ave. 220 and Rd. 254, and attempted to stop the vehicle.

The driver fled, and a pursuit ensued. The vehicle finally came to a stop just east of Rd. 216, and the suspect fired on Officers.

The Officers returned fire, hitting the suspect, and he was taken into custody.

Hector Ceyala is being treated at a local hospital for life threatening injuries.

Investigators subsequently learned that Ceyala had shot his 2 kidnapping victims.

The 2 children kidnapped during the incident are Ceyala’s children, Alyssa and Linea, and have been transported to a local hospital for treatment, with one child having life threatening injuries, and the other with non-life threatening injuries.
