“Django Unchained” hitting theaters this Christmas

Quentin Tarantino never fails when it comes to making a blockbuster film and with big name stars such as Kerry Washington, Samuel L Jackson, Jamie Foxx and Leonardo Dicaprio. “Djando Unchained” stands a chance of being a major hit when it is released this Christmas. The story takes place two years before the civil war in the south. The title character played by Jamie Foxx is a slave with a brutal history with his former slave owners. Django who ultimately finds himself face to face with German born bounty hunter Dr King Schultz who is on the hunt for the murderous Brittle brothers. Django seems to be the only one to help lead Dr Schultz to get his bounty and promises Django that he will free him once the Brittle brothers are free. Though, once the Brittle brothers are captured, Django and Dr Schultz find them shelves still teamed up together. Only this time looking to get the south’s most notorious and wanted criminals. However, Django only has his mind on finding his wife who is played by Kerry Washington who he lost in the slave trade long ago. Their search leads them to Calvin Candie, the owner of the plantation “Candyland.” “Candyland” is an infamous plantation where slaves were groomed and trained to battle each other for sport. Also making an appearance in “Django Unchained” is Kurt Russell who plays the trainer Ace Woody at the infamous “Candyland” and Samuel L Jackson as “Candyland’s” most trusted house slave.

Movie goers are sure to walk away from this film happy and satisfied as Quentin Tarantino has created another movie classic. Kerry Washington, Jamie Foxx, Samuel L Jackson and Leonardo Dicaprio are all stellar in their performances that should be recognized this upcoming Oscar season.
