Las Vegas: Man and woman dead after shooting in local hotel lobbyOn December 14, 2012 at approximately 8:30 p.m. the LVMPD Dispatch Center received multiple calls of possible shots fired in the lobby of the Excalibur Hotel and Casino. Arriving patrol officers located an adult female and an adult male near a

concierge desk suffering from apparent gunshot wounds. The male was found to be deceased at the scene. The female was transported to the UMC Trauma Center where she was later pronounced deceased. A preliminary investigation by LVMPD Homicide Detectives indicated the female victim was a contracted vendor of the hotel and was working at the time of the incident. The male reportedly came into the lobby of the hotel, shot the victim multiple times, then shot himself. The investigation also indicated there may have been a previous dating relationship between the two individuals.
The identity of the deceased individuals as well as the cause and manner of death will be released by the Clark County Coroner’s Office.
