Notorious B.I.G. autopsy revealed – Kelly J Newson
It has been 15 years since the Notorious B.I.G. was gunned down while riding along Wilshire Blvd in Los Angeles, CA. Now leaked autopsy reports give a very graphic detail of the four shots that Biggie took. At the time of death the Notorious B.I.G. weighed 395 pounds and stood at 6 feet, 1 inch and on the fateful night of March 9, 1997 Notorious B.I.G. took four shots from a very rare German manufactured Gecko 9mm. Though, he was hit four times, it was the fourth shot that was the fatal shot. Notorious B.I.G. was struck in the chest, shoulder, leg, forearm and scrotum. It was the fourth and final shot that tore through vital organs including piercing through his colon, liver, heart and upper lobe of his left lung. Afterwards Biggie was rushed to Cedar-Sinai hospital where he would later be pronounced dead and identified by his mother and wife. The autopsy lists Biggie as morbidly obese and a toxicology test was conducted but no drugs or alcohol was found in his system at time of death.
Still, details surrounding The Notorious B.I.G. death, even after 15 years are a bit sketchy and no gunman arrested. The Notorious B.I.G. died at the young age of 24 years old leaving behind a family, classic hits and albums fans worldwide still enjoy today. Still one can only wonder how different hip hop would be today if Biggie and Tupac were alive today. Would we have such stars as Lil Wayne or Gucci Man or will real lyricists like Nas, Common and Mos Def be on top of the charts instead. Perhaps Lil Kim will still be crafting albums and competing with the likes of Nicki Minaj and Bad Boy records still a label.
One thing that hip hop heads should wish for though, is that today’s rappers learn from both Tupac and Biggie’s tragic deaths and see that life is too short, beefing is stupid and hurts a lot of people. Yet many hip hop artists continue to create beef and parade around as these so-called gangsters like the gang life is the way to live. These hip hop artists brag about that life but half of them have never lived it but to the kids who admire them they follow and believe every lyric they sing. There comes a time when someone must say enough is enough and hopefully, that’s before another hip hop icon is taken.
