Miss USA Olivia Culpo was crown Miss Universe 2012. This 20-year-old from Rhode Island, who first started with a rental dress, has now become an inspiration to many young ladies. Olivia end up winning the tittle for Miss Rhode Island then Miss USA and now Miss Universe 2012.

the Planet Hollywood Resort & Casino in Las Vegas, Nevada. The 20-year-old cellist of Cranston, Rhode Island became the first titleholder from her state to capture the crown. The middle child of five children, Olivia decided to compete for the title of Miss Rhode Island USA on a whim. With determination and a passion for performing on stage, Olivia captured her state title in a $20 “Rent The Runway” dress that was too short and had a tear in the back. Her road to the crown continued in Las Vegas where she wowed the judges in a purple Sherri Hill dress and a poised response to the twitter question regarding transgender contestants. Both of Olivia’s parents began their professional lives as musicians and raised her in a musically rich surrounding. She began studying the cello in the second grade and from they’re participated in the Rhode Island Philharmonic Youth Orchestra, RI Philharmonic Chamber Ensemble, Bay View Orchestra and Rhode Island All-State Orchestra. Olivia also won a seat in the Boston Symphony Hall, Boston; Carnegie Hall, New York City; and a tour of England in 2010. Until recently, Olivia was performing with the Boston Accompanietta. Miss Philippines: Janine Tugonon was raised in the Bataan Province, where she grew up with her mother, sister and grandparents. She spent her childhood going to the farm with her mother and the markets with her grandmother. An adventurous spirit, Janine enjoys hiking and climbing mountains. She also loves to travel and cook classic Filipino dishes. Janine is an avid trader, and one day hopes to work as a social entrepreneur. Janine’s favorite actor is Matthew Gray Gubler, from Criminal Minds. Janine likes to make candies, or “pastillas”, that she then sells to friends and family. One day Janine rescued her sister’s cell phone from a mugger. She wore a blue see true dress. She was got to answer the twitter question. Miss Philippines was also one of the contestant with the more fan vase.

Sofia Esser Quintero, 21-year-old originally from Pueto Ordaz. Irene comes form a wealthy family form Venezuela, as a teenager she lived for several years in England. Currently, Esser is studying at the University of Andes in Merida. Competed with a fitted green dress with black accents. She answer in English which in some viewer eyes this affected her performance since her accent made it default to understand. At the preliminary completion she introduce her self wearing a short red dress and silver shoes. National Costume Show she wore a dress made of chocolate, which her mom help made.

• Miss Brazil: 24-years-old Gabriela Markus grew up in small town in Brazil. She enjoys going to the movies, the theater, and listening to good music. Gabriela is currently studying Food Engineering at the University of State of Rio Grande do Sul and has worked for her school’s microbiology laboratory. Gabriela collects cups, and buys a new one each place she travels. Gabriela got to conquer her fear of heights when she went parachute jumping in Hawaii.
When she was younger, Gabriela took both jazz dance classes and German dance classes.

She wore a elegant with dress with silver accents. Gabriela answer in Portuguese, which is one of the most sensual languages. National Costume Show she captivated the audiences whit a very detail long dress and feather.

• Miss Australia: This 22-year-old has captivated the public and the organizers of the event. Renae Ayris has been shaping up a favorite. Renae is originally from Perth, Australia. She has been a professional model since age 15 which it has allowed her to work in different parts of the world. Australia wore a beautiful A line white gown with stones on the waist line. Event though Miss Australia was full of personality her gown for the National Costume Show was very a very simple white dress with gold representing Australia.
