Back in mid-September, Shakira announced that she was expecting her first child with boyfriend Gerard Piqué. Before Shakira and Gerard Piqué confirm the good news of her pregnancy was rumored that the couple had already chosen name for his firstborn and called “Ulises.” Which it means “Siervo del Señor.” No one was expecting to hear news of a birth so soon. But on December 27,2012 The 35-year-old singer’s boyfriend Gerard Pique revealed the news on his Twitter account.
“Ya ha nacido nuestro hijo! Estamos muy felices! Gracias a todos por vuestros mensajes!” Gerard wrote.
Which it means, “Our son has been born, we are very happy. Thanks everybody for all your messages”
As the media networks started to spread the news they realize that December 28, is the Spain and Latin America’s version of April Fool’s Day.

When Shakira announced her pregnancy, it forced her to back out of some scheduled performances, including the iHeartRadio music festival in Las Vegas. “As some of you may know, Gerard and I are very happy awaiting the arrival of our first baby!” she announced to her 54 million Facebook fans on Wednesday, Sept. 19. “At this time we have decided to give priority to this unique moment in our lives and postpone all the promotional activities planned over the next few days. This means I will not be able to be a part of the iHeartRadio Music Festival, but I’m sure this weekend in Las Vegas will be spectacular and I will be closely following everything that happens there!
