9105 NW 25 Street, Doral, Florida On January 19, 2013, the Miami-Dade Police Department, Miami Beach Police Department and the City of Miami Police Department will be deploying a team of police officers to Washington, D.C., in order to assist with security measures surrounding the historical event of the 2013 Presidential Inauguration. The Miami-Dade officers deploying belong to the Rapid Deployment
Force (RDF), a specialized unit trained in crowd control tactics. Lieutenant Ed Caneva, MiamiDade Police Department, Special Patrol Bureau, will be available for interviews.

NOTE: The media is welcomed to meet the Miami-Dade Police Department officers at 2:30 a.m.,
as they depart from the Miami-Dade Police Department Headquarters’ building west parking lot
area and bus over to Miami International Airport.
