Katherine Webb is now famous thanks to an innocent comment made by Brent Musburger. Musburger said something most guys think “Wow, I’m telling you quarterbacks: You get all the good-looking women.” There is nothing harmful in this. Yet he is taking heat for it.
Webb’s popularity has soared since this incident. Twitter has blown up about her, an athlete has made an online pass at her, and her life is as AJ McCarron’s girlfriend has rose to a new level. Her own twitter account has gained tens of thousands of followers its over 175,000 at last glance, I still not being one of them, I like to follow Rebecca Black personally, you know the “It’s Friday” YouTube video girl.
The oddest thing about this is Webb is an Auburn graduate. Aurburn, omg, seriously the starting quarterback for the Crimson Tide is dating a War Eagle, that is not fetch. Sorry I just went into my Mean Girls rant. Yet that is not a normal happening in those parts. I will say his man cave will be quiet unique.
ESPN released a statement apologizing for Musburger’s comment, “We always try to capture interesting storylines and the relationship between an Auburn grad who is Miss Alabama and the current Alabama quarterback certainly met that test.
“However, we apologize that the commentary in this instance went too far and Brent understands that.”
But Webb said Musburger’s comments didn’t bother her.
“It was kind of nice,” she said. “I didn’t look at it as creepy at all. For a woman to be called beautiful, I don’t see how that’s an issue.” Well said Miss Webb, well said. By Steve Kish
