Let me tell you a little story. A certain TEA Party Republican, let’s call him Scott Desjarlais, of a state, let’s call it Tennessee, is an adamant supporter of pro-life. He is known as a pro-family man who was an MD before winning his bid for election.
And let’s say someone from the Huffington Post discovered a taped telephone conversation in which the congressman urged a patient, who he impregnated, to seek and abortion. It apparently turns out that he made the tape himself while involved in a possible divorce action. When confronted with the tape, which he had been given a copy, he didn’t deny it. What do you think he said? What was his defense? This was his response:
“Desperate personal attacks do not solve our nation’s problems, yet it appears my opponents are choosing to once again engage in the same gutter politics that CBS news called the dirtiest in the nation just two years ago.”
What do you think about extreme right wing Christian Republicans? How many dozen of them have been caught soliciting or engaging in homosexual acts? How many have been exposed having extramarital affairs? They say one thing and act another way. Am I surprised? Hell no. All extremists are insincere in all matters. The are violently vocal about their cause, unless it becomes personal. Then the rules change.
In the phone call he asked her why she had waited so long to get an abortion. She told him that he had promised to go with her. He said he didn’t have the time.
Plainly and honestly put, Rep. DesJarlais is a pig. He’s simply a tool of the big business supported TEA Party. How much longer are we going to have to deal with this group of ignorant charlatans? It’s not enough for them that they destroyed the credibility and cohesiveness of the G.O.P. They won’t be satisfied until they destroy the country.
