Baltimore Ravens wins Super Bowl 2013

The Baltimore Ravens are a professional American football team based in Baltimore, Maryland. The team originated in 1996 when then-owner of the Cleveland Browns, Art Modell, relocated the franchise to Baltimore. The team’s name was inspired by Edgar Allan Poe’s poem The Raven, as Poe lived for a time in Baltimore, died there in 1849, and is buried there. The Ravens have experienced great success in their brief history, making the playoffs nine times since 2000, with one Super Bowl victory (Super Bowl XXXV)

The team will face the San Francisco 49ers in Super Bowl XLVII. This is the Ravens’ second Super Bowl appearance and their first since the 2000 season.

The Baltimore Ravens led the San Francisco 49ers 34-29 in the fourth quarter. Just a few minutes after Baltimore’s Jacoby Jones returned the opening kickoff for a touchdown, the power in half the Superdome went off with 13:22 left in the third quarter.

The game restarted after a 35-minute delay, according to CBS, which broadcast the game.

The 49ers are trying to win their sixth Super Bowl, which would tie them with the Pittsburgh Steelers for the almost all time.
