Bomb threat at Grand Central Station

Late this evening there was a report of a bomb threat at Grand Central Station in New York City. It was reported by a male who called 911 claiming that a bomb would explode at Grand Central Terminal. Though, after a 30 minute search by the NYPD, no bomb was discovered.

“Following an earlier incident at Grand Central, Times Sq, S, 4, 5 & 6 train service has resumed with residual delays,” MTA stated on their website but NYPD has confirmed that the station was not evacuated.

Still, there were tweets on twitter talking of a bomb threat as the Oscars went on.

Including a tweet from @NYScanner: “Manhattan: Grand Central Terminal NYPD reporting a male is saying Bomb will go off in 13 minutes Bomb Squad requested Area being evacuated.”

Story is still developing.
