Chicago: Sex offender arrested

Wanted Sex Offender Apprehended by Chicago Police Joint Investigation Leads to the Capture of a Wanted Criminal

CHICAGO – The Chicago Police Fugitive Apprehension Unit working in conjunction with The Great Lakes Regional Fugitive Task Force, have arrested and charged a 30-year-old West Side man in connection with a criminal sexual assault which occurred on October 9, 2012 in the 4100 block of West Wilcox Street. Anthony Wilson, 30, of the 1200 block of North Austin Boulevard, was arrested for two warrants and charged with one count of class 1 felony Criminal Sexual Assault.
At approximately 2:00 a.m., on that date in October, the victim, a 33-year-old female, was asleep at her residence. She awakened to discover that she was being sexually assaulted by the offender, who was lying on top of her. The victim shouted out and the offender fled the scene.
Chicago Police Officers worked in union with the Great Lakes Regional Fugitive Task Force to ascertain the whereabouts of Wilson who was taken into custody without incident and processed accordingly. He is expected to appear in Central Bond Court, located at 2600 S. California Avenue on February 13, 2013.
