Cheney This Morning
Shown on CBS This Morning, an interview of former vice-president, the “center of American evil”, Dick Cheney was aired. He claims President Obama’s policies are ‘weakening’ the country. He fails to acknowledge his administration’s failures in the field of military action, while Mr. Obama cleaned up their mess.
When Rose asked him about the increased hatred and distrust the Bush era created with other nations, he simply said that a leader has to be “tough”, and not be concerned about the consequences of his actions, or what someone else thinks. He continues his hawkish attitude. If Cheney had been the President, we would surely be at war with at least a half dozen more countries. For him and his investment portfolio, “war is good business”.
When questioned about “enhanced interrogation techniques”, authorized by “W” and by him, he claimed they were not torture. I simply respond, “how much bullshit do you expect us to swallow”.
If you saw a demonstration of “water boarding”, as have I, if that isn’t torture, I don’t know what is.
For Bush, Cheney was that little red imp on his left shoulder. Often known as the “puppet master” in the Bush administration, he was the driving force that put our troops in harm’s way in two countries.
I just wish the networks would cease to give credibility to those who tried to destroy our country. Men, such as Cheney, Bush, Wolfowitz, and Rumsfeld, should be giving interviews from a jail cell. They are not only guilty of crimes against our country, but crimes against humanity.
