Las Vegas: Domestic Dispute Leads to Homicide

Las Vegas, February 27, 2013 at approximately 3:52 a.m. LVMPD Patrol Officers responded to an apartment complex in the 6500 block of Boulder Highway, to investigate a report of a deceased individual. Arriving officers discovered a male in an apartment, deceased from apparent strangulation.

A preliminary investigation initiated by LVMPD Homicide Detectives, indicated the victim and a family member, later identified, were involved in a physical altercation earlier in the evening. Henderson-Reid had left the area, and the victim’s vehicle was missing when officers arrived.

An arrest warrant was issued for, Henderson-Reid, for one count of Murder. The LVMPD Homicide Section, working in conjunction with the Los Angeles Police Department Fugitive Team, located the victim’s vehicle in the Los Angeles area and took, Henderson-Reid, into custody on the evening of February 27th without incident. He was transported to the Los Angeles Police Department’s Metro Detention Center and is awaiting extradition proceedings.
