Las Vegas: Male dies after confrontation in courtyardOn Friday, February 1, 2013 at approximately 9:00 p.m. the LVMPD Dispatch Center received a call indicating a man had been attacked in the courtyard of an apartment complex located in the 2900 block of East Charleston Boulevard. Arriving patrol officers discovered an adult male who was unresponsive on the ground within the complex.

The victim was transported to Sunrise Trauma Center by medical personnel and was pronounced deceased a short time later. The preliminary investigation initiated by LVMPD Homicide Detectives indicated the victim had been barbequing in the courtyard with other neighbors when he was approached by two males. The two males started shouting at the victim, approached him, and one of the suspects punched the victim in the face. The two males then fled
the scene on foot.
The suspect who punched the victim was described as a black male in his early to midtwenties with long hair and a tattoo on his neck. The second subject was described as a black male in his late teens to early twenties.
The identity of the deceased victim as well as the cause and manner of death will be released by the Clark County Coroner’s Office.
