Las Vegas: Suspect arrested in shooting on the park

Women struck by gunfire in North West Valley Park

On Saturday January 19, 2013 at approximately 11:15 a.m., two women who were attending an international soccer match at Teton Trails Park were struck by gunfire. The park is located at 7850 Bradley in the Northwest portion of Las Vegas.
One of the victims was struck in the leg while the other woman was grazed in the chest area by a bullet. Both women were transported to UMC with injuries that were not considered life threatening.
Investigators are in the process of determining where the bullets were fired from. Detectives are actively seeking information about the person or persons responsible. Anyone with information is urged to call the Las Vegas Metro Police DepartmentLas Vegas: Suspect arrested in shooting on the park

*** UPDATE – Suspect in Custody – UPDATE ***
Investigators with the LVMPD Violent Crimes Section have identified the suspect in this crime and recovered the .22 caliber rifle used in the incident. Ezra Peoples, 18 years of Las Vegas, is currently in custody at the Clark County Detention Center on unrelated charges stemming from a Robbery and Kidnapping which occurred on January 30, 2013. Peoples will be re-booked on the additional charge of:
Attempted murder [two counts].
All information obtained during this investigation indicates the shooting was an intentional act by Peoples, who lives a short distance from the soccer field where the victims were struck. Peoples booking photograph accompanies this updated release.
