Pebble Beach, With no Tiger Woods Will you Tune In?

Four Days of Beautiful Golf

golf-header-sgh-awardsWhether you enjoy watching Professional Golf or not, you might want to watch at least a part of this week’s tournament.  The AT&T Pebble Beach National Pro Am begins tomorrow, Thursday.

If you have never been fortunate to visit northern California, an witness the dramatic, even breathtaking coastline, you have missed some of the most beautiful sights on the planet.

Galleries who attend all tournaments are blessed with being surrounded by nature’s beauty, but the rocky coastline, with waves crashing, and Cypress trees reaching for the shoreline, is unique.

The tournament utilizes three courses, the Pebble Beach Golf Links, Spyglass Hill Golf Course, and the Monterey Peninsula Country Club.  All three are unique, all three are beautiful.

For myself, and thousands like me, I will also be interested in the game.  Although Tiger Woods has chosen to opt out of the field this year, there are many more great players to watch.

Phil Mickelson who led from the first round and won the Phoenix Open in Scottsdale last week, will be defending his win here last year.  Other players include Dustin Johnson, Brandt Snedeker, and Lee Westwood.  There are dozens more.  Celebrity amateurs include Jim Harbaugh, coach of the San Francisco 49ers, Bill Belichick, coach of the New England Patriots, Wayne Gretzky, hockey great, (whose daughter Paulina is dating Johnson), Bill Murray, and Ray Romano.

The winner receives $1,152,000, and 500 points towards the FedEx championship.
