Wanted for Attempt Criminal Sexual Assault 02nd (Wentworth) District About This Crime

• On Sunday, February 24, 2013 at approximately 4:25 a.m., in the 0-100 block of E. Garfield Blvd., an unknown male offender approached a 22 year-old female victim as she exited the CTA Red Line train and attempted to engage her in conversation. The victim declined to engage the offender and walked away. The offender followed the victim walking westbound on 55th St. The offender then grabbed her jacket from behind and threw her to the ground, after which he attempted to sexually assault her. The victim was able to fight off her attacker who then fled westbound back towards the Red Line terminal. About The Offender

• The offender is a male of Middle Eastern or Hispanic originChicago: Suspect wanted for sexual assault
• Offender is between the ages of 25 and 35 years old.
• Height is between 5’06’ -5’08”
• Weight is between 150 and 170 lbs.
• Short Black hair, Brown eyes; medium complexion, mustache and goatee
• Wearing a grey collared sweat shirt with dark “Old Navy” lettering across the front and blue jeans, no jacket, may have cuts or bruising to the face and/or head. What You Can Do
• Avoid secluded areas such as parks, alleys and vacant lots during late night, early morning hours
• Always be aware of your surroundings
• Remain in well lit areas at all times
• Walk in groups, when at all possible
• Remember any unique physical characteristics (scars, limp, acne, teeth, etc…)
• Never pursue a fleeing assailant, provide the information to the police
• If approached by a witness to the incident, request contact information
• Dial 9-1-1 immediately and remain on scene when possible
