COLLISIONDETAILS:
On March 19, 2013, at approximately 1:45 a.m., an Auto / Motorcycle fatal traffic collision occurred at the intersection of West Ann Road andNorth Blooming Street. Witnessesstatements and evidence atthe scene indicate a 1999Honda Accord was traveling east on Ann Road at Blooming Streetin the centertravel lane. A 2008 Suzuki GSXR1000 motorcycle wastraveling east on Ann Road and changing lanesfromrightto left. The front of the Suzuki impacted the leftrear oftheHonda and the rider was ejected. The rider ofthemotorcycle was pronounced dead atthe scene. The driver oftheHonda was notinjured and remained atthe scene for the collision investigation. Thisisthe 27th traffic related fatality in the LVMPD’sJurisdiction in 2013. This collision remains underinvestigation by the LVMPDAccidentInvestigations Section.
